Plan Your Visit

The Chuck Mathena Center is located right off of Stafford Drive in downtown Princeton, WV. You will find a wide selection of dining, lodging and shopping within minutes of CMC, most of them being right at Exit 9 off I-77.

Below are FAQs that will help you plan your next visit to the CMC. If you need additional information, please email us at CMC or call the CMC box office at 304.425.5128

  • The Chuck Mathena Center has free parking. There are 250 spaces on the CMC lot, with room for additional parking adjacent to the building. Please do not block any drive through window at the neighboring banks,

and only park in grass lots if you are confident your vehicle will not get stuck. Handicap parking is located to the right of the building (as you enter the lot). Please be aware of fire lanes, anyone parked in these areas

    will be ticketed and towed.

  • For every CMC performance, the lobby, will call and box office will open one hour prior to the scheduled showtime. Theatre doors will open as close to thirty minutes prior to showtime as allowed by each performer.

Guests with tickets should arrive no later than fifteen minutes before showtime and guests needing to pick up tickets or purchase tickets should arrive no later than thirty minutes before showtime.

  • There is no dress code at CMC. Most guests dress in casual or business casual attire. It is recommended to dress in layers to adjust to theatre temperatures.

  • For all CMC performances, tickets that have been emailed to the email address you bought when you purchased them. Though labeled "print at home", you're welcome to have them on a mobile device instead.

If you prefer a printed ticket, you're welcome to stop by the Box Office during open hours.

  • Guests with odd numbered (1,3,5…) seating will enter to the left of the lobby, while guests with even numbered (2,4,6…) seating will enter to the right of the lobby. If you are in the center of the theatre, your party may have

both odd and even numbered seating, and in this case, either entrance will be just as convenient. Ushers are located at each theatre entrance to help you find your seats.

  • Take a look at our seating chart here.

  • Everyone, regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter the theatre. This applies to all CMC performances, special events and any ticketed event that is renting the theatre. For CMC performances that are suitable for the

majority of children, student pricing is available. On-duty first responders are invited to view any performance as able. Check in with a member of CMC staff to find out where you may sit.

  • No food or drinks are allowed in the theatre, this includes sippy cups, bottles, and snacks for children. Additionally, CMC theatre seats are not designed to accommodate a baby carrier or seat. This is an extreme safety hazard for

your child and other guests. Carriers, strollers and seats can be checked at the coat check during each performance. While most performances do not allow video or photography of any kind, if you are attending a performance
that allows this, tripods are a safety hazard and are not allowed into the theatre. If you are bringing flowers for performers, please keep in mind that any glass containers, water, potted plants, or candy bouquets are not allowed

in the theatre. These items may be stored in the CMC kitchen during the performance.
